Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name has been widely praised for her pioneering work in studying child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also been recognized with numerous national and international awards. She has worked with many governments and organizations around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to child victims of the justice system. She works as a Consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of several professional associations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Praxis and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions including Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
